July was another month of summer fun! We celebrated, had visitors, swam, played t-ball, and spent time in the sunshine! Despite the crazy hot weather, we are doing our best to have fun!!
Just like every year, July started with a bang by celebrating my birthday! Pat took the day off and we had a great day together! We went and saw The BFG, at lunch at my favorite place for fish tacos, had cupcakes, and a special visit from my cousin Lindsay! It was a great birthday!!
We were super lucky to have a visit from the Hankla family! It had been way too long since we saw them! We did our best to squeeze in as much fun as possible! As well as multiple attempts to get a cute cousin picture!
The first outing was a trip to the zoo! It was so hot, but the kids had so much fun!!
The next day we all headed to the aquarium together. It had been awhile since we had been, and I'd forgotten how fun it is!
We spent the forth at our house, with a bbq and fireworks!
Our last adventure was a trip to the farm. It was another hot but fun day! I sure loved spending time with both my sisters and their families!
I felt like we spent most of July at swim lessons! Between Neko and Dylan we were there every single day one week, and spent lots of other time there too.
One of my favorite ways to spend a summer night is going to a concert at Red Butte gardens. Our first show for the summer was Case/Lang/Veirs. It seemed only fitting that Neko's fist concert would be to see Neko Case, it was Dylan's second time seeing her. Both kids did awesome and we had a great time.
The 24th of July was on a Sunday, so we went to church and then that night did some fireworks at home. We gave D a fountain type firework, that he thought was a sparkler. I feel bad for giggling, but his reaction was priceless!
The rest of the month was spent in it's usual way, t-ball games, play date with friends, evening walks, and spending time together! We are soaking up summer!!
