Happy Easter!!

We got to spend Easter in Boise with our families this year, and despite the insanity, it was so much fun!  Luckily the Easter Bunny got word of our travels and managed to find us at Grandma's house.  The day was filled with family, food, sunshine, easter egg hunts and of course candy!

Mom's Bday

So, I'm really late on posting about my Mom's birthday, but it was most certainly another highlight of Boise.  We loved being able to celebrate her day with her and the family.  We love Grandma so so much!!

5 Months

I know, I say it every month, but really, my baby is already 5 months?!? It's going so fast, but we're having so much fun watching him grow and learn. This month I feel like so much of his personality has come out. He giggles all the time and is so quick to give smiles. On the flip side he also doesn't hesitate to let us know when he's not happy! He's becoming so aware of his surroundings and wants to touch, feel and taste everything he can get his hands on. He's such a sweet little boy that we've been given.

Facts/Accomplishments:
He has discovered his feet and he thinks they are pretty neat
He gets so distracted while nursing, every little sound pulls his attention away
He's still sleeping with his mommy
He's constantly blowing raspberries and covering his face in spit
He survived his first road trip and for the most part was a champ
Has started talking a lot - mostly in high squeals
He has THE BEST laugh!!!

Likes:
The puppies - he loves watching and laughing at them as well as petting them
Loves playing peek-a-boo
Loves scratching at surfaces - mostly his car seat. I'm not sure if this is a sound or texture thing
Loves touching various textures
Really starting to like his toys - but still prefers his hands and feet
Munching on mom's fingers and knuckles
Going for walks

Dislikes:
Sleeping at night time. He's still getting up two to three times a night to eat
Rice cereal - so far he is not a fan at all
Being left alone for longer than 3 minutes

Cousins!

Another great part of our trip to Boise was getting to play with cousins! Dylan only has a few cousins, but they are pretty great ones! Both Lilli and Jack really loved Dylan. It was so fun to watch them both love on him.

Cousin Jack is five and hadn't seen Dylan since the first week he was born. He absolutely LOVED Dylan. He was constantly saying things like "he's pretty much the best/cutest cousin ever" I couldn't agree with him more! He was also so sweet to share his toys and books with him! We sure do love cousin Jack! Dylan also got to meet Jess for the first time. We were so glad she was able to come over one day and see him! We love Jess!!

Lillian is 2 and had met Dylan on a few other occasions and frankly wasn't so fond of him. When Dylan was just a newborn they came to visit and she wouldn't get anywhere close to him, but this trip she thought he was great! I think I owe that to her mom who talks about cousin Dylan and shows her pictures of him. She was also so sweet to him. She would watch him and just laugh and say "he silly" it was pretty cute. Dylan also loved watching her, he would sit in his chair and turn in every direction so he could see her. I have a feeling they will be pretty good buds! We love Lilli so much!

The Greats

Pat was able to take some time off work during the first week of April so we packed up the car and headed to Boise for Dylan's first big road trip. There were lots of highlights from the trip (that I hopefully will eventually post about) but one of the best was Dylan getting to meet his Great Grandparents! It'd been awhile since I'd seen them, so it was also super nice for me! Love you Grandpa and Grandma!!

We love Great Grandma & Grandpa!

So happy!
