Dylan in July

Oh Dylan, you are at such a fun and trying phase of life!  Everything is new and exciting and you exude excitement for everything you do.  You want so bad to be independent and spend most of your days saying "dylan do it! dylan do it!" and get so so mad when things don't go your way.  We're all learning together, and I love (almost) every single moment of it!

Every time you say Thank You! you immediately follow it up with a Welcome!
When your feelings are hurt you say you have bonked your head and need a kiss
You are constantly imploring us to "wait for me! wait for me!"
You love squishing cheeks and honking noses
When asked a question you respond with a "ummmmmm sure/nope"
Our favorite things you say are "Oh my gosh!" "Oh man!" and "No way dude!"
When it's the last time we are going to do something you say "one more pine?!?"
You love picking out and putting on clean clothes
You have developed a fear of the dark and the boogie man known as "big guy"
You looooove your baby sister!  Constantly giving her hugs and kisses and saying "neko so cute!"
You are never satisfied.  The second we get done with one activity your are begging for the next.
You have ventured into new foods!  You love sausage.
You are obsessed with stickers, bandaids, and temporary tattoos!

July 2014 Family Recap

July started out with a bang!  All within the first week of the month we celebrated my birthday, fourth of July, and Neko's baby blessing!

It was a busy week, which probably explains why we spent the entire middle part of July getting over sickness!  It started with Dylan and then circulated it's way through the rest of us. We basically spent the next few weeks sleeping and sticking close to home in an effort to avoid sharing our germs with the rest of the world.

Then to make up for a couple sleepy weeks we ended the month with as much playing as possible!!

Neko 3 Months

Oh little miss, three months already!  You are growing so quickly, I can hardly stand it!  Your newborn stage disappeared in a blink of an eye and I find myself already longing for you to stay little for just a bit longer. You are the cutest little thing I've ever laid eyes and make my momma heart so happy!  You are the perfect addition to our little family and we all feel so lucky to call you ours!

You love to have your belly tickled
When you smile big your whole body gets into it, you wiggle all around and make the happiest of noises!
You are starting to grasp a lot more (your brother loves when you hold his hand)
You had your first cold, luckily it wasn't too bad of one!
You STILL have thrush (insert frowny face!)
You are happiest when being held in the standing position
You love eating your little hands
You've not discovered your feet yet, but you spend a good amount of time looking at them suspiciously!
You tolerate your car seat less and less every time you get in it!
Your eye color is a mystery, some days they are blue and other days brown - I assume this means they will ultimately be brown, but the jury is still out!
