March was such a fun month for us! We went on a staycation, celebrated two holidays, played with friends, and with on another! We really couldn't have asked for more!
The month started with our staycation to SLC. We bought tickets to Frozen on Ice over a year ago, and decided to make a weekend of it! The trip started out with us forgetting Neko's backpack full of clothes, so we made a trip to City Creek for some new clothes and dinner, followed up by a good nights sleep! The next day we grabbed some breakfast and headed to the zoo! It was the perfect zoo day, and we had so much fun seeing all the animals together.
The kids probably would have been content to stay in the hotel, jump on the beds, and eat snacks out of the mini fridge! Dylan and Dad also took advantage of the hotel pool, sadly Neko's swimsuit was at home in her backpack.
The highlight of the weekend was Frozen on Ice. We bought the tickets early through Pat's work and managed to get second row seats! It was so fun and the kids ate it up! I never want to forget their excitement every time a new character came out on the ice! The show was 2.5 hours long, D made it through the entire show, but Neko crashed with 15 minutes to go.
Next up came St Patrick's Day celebrations! I know not everyone celebrates St Patty's Day, but we don't pass up an opportunity to party! The kids humored me and wore these cute shamrock headbands for some photos, we hate donuts with green sprinkles, and we painted rainbows! Oh, and of course wore green to avoid getting pinched!
Our Easter celebration started with egg dying with our favorite friends and then painting bunny's to decorate our windows with!
Then the day before Easter our neighborhood held their annual Easter Egg Hunt. This was the first year we went, but certainly won't be the last! I was worried the kids wouldn't get many eggs, but they ended up getting tons and having so much fun!
On Easter we woke up to our goodies from the Easter Bunny! He was of course good to us! Later that day we put on our Easter best and headed to church, then afterwards we wore bunny ears! That evening the Dotson's came and celebrated with us with a yummy dinner and a little backyard Easter Egg hunt. It was a good good day!
And just like every month, we had fun with each other and our friends!
And in the end, all of this fun made us really tired!
I sure do love these people of mine.
