February 2015 Family Recap

Yikes, we're already over halfway through March and I've yet to jot anything down about February, so here we go!  We had an unseasonably warm February and we totally loved it!  We spent as much time as possible playing outside and going to the park.  Then, out of nowhere the weather remembered it was still winter time and we got a huge snow storm!  Dylan was SO excited to play in the snow!!  We had a super low key Valentine's Day.  Pat and I celebrated a few days early by going to dinner with just the two of us.  On Valentine's Day Pop and Nan we're in town so we all celebrated together.  I of course once again failed to take a single photo, but man do Dylan and Neko love when they are in town!!  Overall a pretty low key month, but we sure did love it!!

Dylan, you just keep growing up way faster than I am okay with!  Or as you like to tell me "no i'm already bigger!"  You will not tolerate being told you're little, and you're pretty insistent that you're big enough to drive a car.  No one makes me as crazy as you do, but no one makes me as happy as you do either.  I can't imagine a better little, big boy to call my own.

My absolute favorite thing you say right now is "give me one big hug!"

You love going to your primary class and seeing all your friends, but really hate the "quite part" (sacrament meeting)

You insist on dressing yourself and get very proud of yourself when you do it

You had your first dentist appointment and were so brave even though you were really nervous.

You have many imaginary friends, the one you play with the most is "nice Frankenstein"

You make me voice your imaginary friends and so I spend 90% of my day talking in character

You are typically very helpful but lately when asked to do something your immediate response is "no way" it makes me a little crazy!

You love any and all outings, whether it's the grocery store or the park, whatever it is, you love it

You refuse to potty train!  You will look at me and say "i'm going pee now" but will not use the toilet

You love playing in the snow, until you realize you're cold and then you freak out!!
Every time I ask you what you want to eat you either respond with "I not hungry" or "Nothing, stop asking me"  It makes me so so crazy!!

Neko - 10 Months!

My goodness the last 10 months have been the fastest of my life!  I assume with each child and as life gets busier the time goes faster, but I really can't believe we're already to 10 months!  You are such a sweet little girl!  You rarely fuss, only occasionally in your car seat or if you can't get to mom! You're still in the middle of a mama's girl stage, and I secretly kinda love it.  All to soon you'll realize that dad and grandparents and others are way more fun than mom, so for now I'm soaking it all up!  You make my heart happy every single day and I'm so grateful you are mine!

You get so tickled when you see yourself in the mirror!

You are one ticklish little girl, however, you do not like having your feet tickled.  You will laugh for a second and then get angry.

You've become a real pro at standing on your own!  

You have no interest in any type of food, baby or table.  Argh!

When you are stressed out or sad you pull your own hair as a coping mechanism

Speaking of hair pulling, you love to pull mom's hair!

You've got your "I want that" scream down!

You prefer your brother's toys to your own

We upgraded you from your infant car seat this month and you are a little unsure about the change

You love music and dancing!

When we go to dinner you'll normally keep yourself entertained with straws, lids, and plastic spoons
