September you were good to us! So many fun things happened!!
We started the month off by celebrating cousin Lilli's 5th birthday with a Pokemon Party!
Then Pat decided to take some time off work, and with him working shift that meant he was home with us for 11 days! Neko super hates the car, so we didn't want to chance going anywhere far, but we did go on a mini "staycation" to SLC. It was nice to get away for a few days and Dylan loved "our really fun adventure." We started the trip off with visiting Hogle Zoo where it torrential rained on us! Luckily we were in eating lunch when it hit and were able to ride it out there, and then by the time it was over we practically had the zoo to ourselves! That night we hit City Creek for dinner and a little bit of shopping. We stayed at the Plaza hotel which is right downtown and there was a trax station right outside our hotel, so we took advantage of riding the "train" every chance we got. It may have been the highlight of the trip for Dylan. The second day we went to the Utah State Fair where we ate greasy fair food, played games, looked at animals, and Dylan rode his first fair ride. There was a little mini roller coaster that he insisted on riding, so I went with him. He was terrified the entire ride. It may have ruined him from rides for the rest of his life! We loved getting away, but we were also exhausted by the time it was time to go home. We now know for sure we are not ready for a real vacation, at least not until Dylan is willing to walk a bit more and Neko gets a bit older!
Right after our trip ended it was the kick off for BYU football's home games, which meant visits from Grandpa & Grandma two weekends in a row! We had to watch the games from home, while they got to go to the stadium, but we love cheering on our cougars and even more so having visitors!
The rest of the month was spent having fun together, whether that meant hanging out at home, going to the farm and aquarium, or checking out Dylan's new favorite activity, mini bowling!
