I seriously can't believe June has already pretty much come and gone! There have been a number of things that I've been meaning to post about, but just haven't managed to get it done, so here's a quick recap of the month!
At the end of May/start of June Nan and Pop Holloway came to visit and brought cousin Jack along with them! We had fun checking out the new city creek shopping center, going out to eat and just playing around the house!
After they left we decided we missed them and the Schofield side so we planned a last minute trip to Boise! Pat had to work some long hours the upcoming week, so on Friday we packed up the car and he drove me and Dylan to Idaho! Dylan and I spent the entire next week with my folks before Pat came back the next weekend to bring us home. While in Idaho we played a lot! Lots of fun times just hanging out at Grandma and Grandpa's house. We sure do love and miss Boise (more so the people then the actual city!)
The timing of our Boise trip worked out perfectly and we were able to celebrate a big event - my dad turned 60! His actual birthday was a few days after we left, but we did a little party on the weekend once Pat got into town. A big HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Grandpa! We love him so so much!!
June is pretty much Pat's month these days - first Father's day on the 17th and then his birthday on the 22nd! We did our best to make his first father's day a happy one! And of course celebrated his very happy day with some presents, dinner and a treat of his choosing! Dylan love love loves his daddy, and mommy is pretty crazy about him too! We both feel pretty darn lucky to have such an amazing guy in our lives!
One super fun thing we did this month was take Dylan to his first concert! We went and saw Neko Case, one of mom and dad's favorite artists! Outdoor concerts are so fun and the weather was perfect! Dylan did great and made it through the entire show, it was such a great evening out with the family! Later in the month just mom and dad went and saw Wilco, their very favorite band. It was an awesome show! Our dear neighbor watched Dylan for us, it was the longest we've left him and are so grateful for good friends that we trust!
Last but not least has been lots of play dates with the same neighbor and Dylan's BFF/GF Emma! We love hanging out with them! How great is it to have a next door neighbor with a little one that's just two weeks older than Dylan! Pretty great if you ask me!
Oh ya! And lots of play time with mommy!
P.S. If anyone could teach me how to put photos on my blog in a way that isn't so random,
that would be awesome ;)
