You Are My Face

What?? Already?? 6 Months!

Is it crazy to anyone else that HALF A YEAR has already gone by?!?  Oh my!  My little boy (and he is little, you'll see below in the stats!) is 6 months old!  Seriously boggles my mind.  It is all going so fast, but we're loving it so much!  I don't express enough how lucky I am to stay home and play with him every single day.  I love having him as my buddy through all of our daily adventures!  

Stats:

Length - 27.2 inches - 73rd percentile

Weight - 16 pounds 1 ounce - 20th percentile

Head - 43.9 centimeters - 52nd percentile

Facts/Accomplishments:

Rolled from back to tummy and is now rolling all over the place!

Has become quite the talker!

Sits on his own for very brief periods of time

He no longer has hair all along the edges of his ears

Had his first cold - while this was heartbreaking, it also made him so cuddly!  One afternoon while we were napping in bed, he rolled over, hugged my arm while looking up and smiling at me - melted my heart!!

Likes:

His favorite toys are cell phones, tv remotes and baby wipe boxes, oh and his giraffe sophie (at least one of the four is an actual baby toy)

He likes to hold my hand while nursing - I love this so much!

Laughing with his daddy - all Pat has to do is walk in a room and Dylan will start giggling

Playing with the dogs - this includes petting, pulling tails, grabbing paws and getting kisses

Swinging in mom's arms

Eating his toes

Getting dried off after bath time - it's easily his favorite part of the whole process

Seeing his reflection in the mirror or glass or wherever he can catch a glimpse of himself

Daddy playing with his feet - he sniffs them and then says "oh stinky stinky"  Dylan thinks it's hilarious

Wiggling/twisting/moving while getting his diaper changed

Dislikes:

All baby food - at least all we've tried so far which includes rice cereal, carrots and sweet potatoes

Still doesn't tolerate when mom drinks milk that well, but it's better then it was before

Lotion - he fusses pretty much every time I put it on him

The car - yes I say this every month, lately it seems to be less about his car seat and more about being alone in the backseat

Being left alone for any period of time 

Not being with his mama after 7:30 pm at night - no one but mom will do once we hit a certain hour in the day (I think this breaks Dad's heart a little bit, but I'm not gonna lie, it makes Mom feel special)

I think it goes without saying, but I'm saying it anyway - I LOVE being this little boy's mommy!  The last 6 months have been the best of my life and I can't wait for the months to come, that being said, if time wanted to slow down a bit, that'd be cool with me!!!

Why aren't you listening to me?!?!!!

Dylan has had a lot to say lately and I'm just not understanding.... pay special attention at the 54 second mark.  He went on like this all day yesterday, oh how he makes me laugh!!
